Briarwood Lane Remodel

What began as an antique barn has been carefully re engineered from the inside out. We reinforced the original framing, preserved architectural details, and introduced new structural components to support modern amenities—all while keeping the authentic charm intact. Exposed beams, reclaimed elements, and warm wood textures pay homage to the building’s origins, creating a welcoming environment that feels both historic and timeless.

A Seamless Addition to the Main Residence

The new guest house is designed to serve as a flexible retreat for visiting family and friends. A custom-built bunk room provides comfortable, space saving accommodations for multiple guests, perfect for gatherings and summer weekends on the Cape.

The open concept living space features:

• A small but unique custom kitchen with modern cabinetry, high end appliances, and custom bar with an antique heart-pine countertop crafted from the original floor joists

• Bright, airy interiors that maximize natural light and highlight the original barn structure

• Thoughtfully integrated storage to keep the space functional without interrupting the traditional design

Spa-Inspired Bathrooms

To elevate the guest experience, we added luxury, hotel‑quality bathrooms fitted with premium fixtures, curated tilework, and warm, coastal finishes. Each bathroom provides a high-end feel, blending classic design with modern convenience.

Views That Make the Space

One of the most remarkable aspects of this renovation is its setting. The guest house was positioned and finished to take full advantage of its surroundings, offering sweeping views across Toby’s Island and the Hog Island Channel. Whether enjoyed from the bar surrounding windows or the second room living room, the coastal backdrop sets a serene tone for the entire home.
